Division of Comprehensive Care Program

The philosophy of the Comprehensive Care Program (CCP) is to train dental students to provide excellence in comprehensive dental care for their patients in a setting which emulates private practice. Patients are assigned to individual CCP students for diagnosis and treatment planning, periodontal, endodontic, oral surgery, and restorative dental treatments. Compared to the traditional discipline-driven dental curriculum, this program provides excellent opportunities for dental students to integrate and demonstrate their knowledge and skill. As a result, students develop a well-rounded global understanding of modern comprehensive dental care and improve their readiness and preparedness to practice dentistry after graduation.

Community Outreach

Attending to the underserved and special needs populations adds tremendous value to the professional growth of students. Many of our voluntarily senior students have participated in a 2-week or 4-week SEARCH program during their senior year.
