Biography
Dr. Milton Essig is a Professor in the Department of Comprehensive Dentistry at the University of Alabama School of Dentistry, UAB, having earned his DMD at the institution in 1970. On completing a General Practice Residency at Martin Army Hospital, Ft. Benning, Georgia and subsequent service with the US Army Dental Corps in Germany, he joined the faculty in 1974.
Dr. Essig serves as Director of preclinical programs with primary responsibility in the teaching of Preclinical and Clinical Prosthodontics. He is a Fellow of the American College of Dentists, the International Academy of Dentistry, a consultant in Restorative Dentistry for the Veterans Administration, and continues to maintain an active intramural professional practice.
