Biography

Currently Director of Operative Dentistry Section and Operative Dentistry Clinic in the Department of Comprehensive Dentistry, Dr. Mazer trained at UAB under Dr. Karl Leinfelder’s guidance in Dental Biomaterials and Clinical Research. She has taught dental students since 1989 after graduating from the MS program at UAB. Her research efforts are focused on esthetic restorative materials including composite resins and adhesives. She has spoken to both national and international audiences about the techniques and characteristics of esthetic restoratives. She has a special interest in the use of dental lasers and hopes to bring the technology to the student dental clinics at UAB dental school in the near future.
