Student Evaluation

Average Fall & Winter quarter grade. Perio I comprehensive examination 90%. Daily score will record attendance per quarter - the two lowest quiz grades will be dropped. Perio II: Comprehensive exam - 50%; Clinical Case exam - 40%; Daily quiz average - 10%.

Course Goal

To provide knowledge foundation for clinical periodontology.

Learning Objectives

To provide basic knowledge of periodontal anatomy, pathology, classifications of periodontal disease etiology - oral systems disease interface; introduction to periodontal therapy. To introduce the basic periodontal instrumentation skills.
